The Mareenian Calendar is used by the residents of Mareenia. The calendar is a leap week calendar, with most years having an extra week at the end. The Mareenian year averages 34128⁄41 Mareenian days long (48233⁄287Mareenian weeks), with leap years occuring in 233 years out of 287 Mareenian years. Non-leap years are called plain years.

Weeks are also named in a continuous four-week cycle similar to the uninterrupted cycle of the days of the week. The week cycle facilitates the calculation of fiscal matters. Some mysticism and superstition has also seen the weeks associated with certain characteristics, not unlike astrology and other similar practices. When a year has a leap week, the four-week cycle of the following year starts on a different week in the cycle, and in plain years the four-week cycle of the following year starts on the same week as the plain year.
